私の会社でも積極的に日本でリクルート活動を始めたのだが（参照）、東京とシアトルを行ったり来たりしている私としては、応募者全員に合うわけにもいかず、おのずと書類審査が重要になる。しかし、通常の「履歴書」だけではその人のことを知ることは難しいと考え、募集要項に「今まで書いてきたブログ、個人で運営しているウェブ・サイトなどは採用の際にかなり重視するので、ぜひとも積極的に利用してアピールしていただきたい」と書いてみた。すると面白い現象が起こった。書類審査段階で集まる情報量が圧倒的に増えたのだ。定型の履歴書には、相変わらず学歴だとか出身地だとかありきたりのことしか書いて来ないのだが、「参考までに」と教えてくれるブログ、運営するサイト、管理人をしている掲示板などから得られる情報量がすごいのだ。趣味や技術力だけでなく、その人の人となりやコミュニケーション・スキルまでが見えてくる。
なるほど、ということで、早速求人ページへ書き加えてみました。
ついでに、Google Baseも31日の掲載期限が来てたことを忘れていたので、もう一度アップしました。再掲載ができなくて、一から作り直さないといけないのがちょっと面倒でした。後、トップページがちょっと変わりましたね。相変わらずスパマーばかりだけど。。
