NetShareについて続報など出ていて、

iPhone 3GをWi-Fiモデムのようにして使える「NetShare」というiPhone向けアプリが話題になっている点については、「現在のところ様子を見ている。問題があるようであれば対応する」（孫氏）と述べるにとどめた。

ソフトバンクモバイル広報に確認したところ、「App Storeで入手したアプリケーションの通信に関してはすべて定額の範囲内」との回答がありました。

孫さんと広報が言っているので、今のところ特に問題ないみたいですね。

ということで、もっとうまく活用できないかなと思って調整してみます。まず、Mail.appが使えないという問題についてですが、これは、hostsファイルにIPを書いておくことで回避が可能。メッセンジャーなどを使うためには、proxifierという有料シェアウェアをMacにインストールすればよいらしいですが、とりあえずは様子見です。

後は、NetShareを使うには、Mac側でもiPhone側でもIPを指定しないといけないので、繋ぐためにかなり煩雑な作業が必要になってしまいます。これをできるだけ回避するために事前準備をしておくことにします。その方法を下記に書きます。

これで、まぁまぁ楽にはなったのですが、これならイーモバイルを差して接続ボタンをクリックする方がぜんぜん楽です。。願わくは簡単に切り替えられるソフトが欲しいですね。

■事前準備

▼Mac側でネットワークを追加しておく

  1. 「"ネットワーク"環境設定」を開いて左下の「＋」をクリック
  2. インターフェイス：AirMac
    サービス名：AirMac for iPhone
    で新規作成
  3. 「AirMac for iPhone」の「詳細...」を開いてAirMacタブ＞＋で
    ネットワーク名：NetShare
    パスワード：（設定する方は設定）
    を作成
  4. TCP/IPタブを開いて
    IPv4の構成：手入力
    IPアドレス : 192.168.10.2
    と設定
  5. プロキシタブを開いて、手入力＞SOCKSプロキシで
    サーバ 192.168.10.1 ポート1080
    と設定して閉じる
  6. 「AirMac for iPhone」をクリックして、設定マークから「サービスを無効にする」を選択しておく
  7. 同じく「サービスの順序を設定」から「AirMac for iPhone」を最上位にしておく
  8. 「AirMac」のネットワーク名が「NetShare」になっていたら元のものにしておく

▼hostsファイルにIPを追加（Mail.appを使うため）

  1. ターミナル.appを起動
  2. 「sudo vi /private/etc/hosts」と入力
  3. パスワード入力
  4. メールホストのIPアドレスとドメインを追加
  5. 「:wq!」で編集完了させる

■繋げたい時の作業

▼Mac

  1. 「"ネットワーク"環境設定」を開いて「AirMac」を選択
  2. 左下の設定マークから「サービスを無効にする」を選択
  3. 「AirMac for iPhone」を選択
  4. ネットワーク名：NetShare を選択して、「適用」をクリック
    ※ネットワークがないときは「ネットワークを作成する」から「NetShare」として新規作成
  5. 左下の設定マークから「サービスを有効にする」を選択
    ※他でAirMacを使っている場合は、結構ややこしいですが「AirMac for iPhone は NetShare に接続していて、IP アドレス 192.168.10.2 が設定されています。」という状態まで持っていけばよいです。

▼iPhone

  1. 設定＞Wi-Fi＞NetShareの＞をクリック
  2. IPアドレスの静的をクリックして

    IPアドレス 192.168.10.1
    と設定
    ※2度目からは設定されている場合もあり
  3. 適当にSafariなどを起動して、3Gネットワークを有効に
    ※こちらもしなくてもいい場合もあり
  4. NetShareを起動
