僕は哲学者の中ではニーチェが一番好きで、自分の考えにマッチしていると思っています。哲学者なんていかがわしいと思っている方にもニーチェだけは知って欲しい。19世紀の哲学が現代においてますます威力を発揮することに驚くと思います。

前置きが長くなりましたが、、本書はニーチェの「ツァラトゥストラ」を中心にした言葉を元に、著者が数ページの解説をするという体裁になっています。著者曰く「私にとってのニーチェは、体系的に研究すべき対象というわけではない。ニーチェ自身は、思想を「研究」してもらうことより、「このことばが僕の今を、明日を、明るく照らしてくれた」と思われることを喜ぶタイプである。」。

僕も大学生の時に初めてニーチェに触れたとき、まさしくその思いを抱きました。そして、本当にそれが力になったものでした。この本は入門書としては、ちょうどよいと思いますが、もう少し詳しく知りたい方には、竹田青嗣「ニーチェ入門」をオススメしたいと思います。
