iPhoneでアプリ内での決済機能

新型iPhoneは今夏発表──「iPhone OS 3.0」はコピペ、プッシュ通知、Spotlightなどサポート - ITmedia D モバイル

アプリ内での決済機能は、これまでApp Storeで売り切り方式で提供するしかなかったアプリの販売方法を大きく変える仕組み。アプリの中でiTunesのアカウントを利用した決済に対応することで、例えばゲームアプリで追加のステージを有料販売する、電子コミックアプリで続刊をアプリ内で販売する、観光ガイドアプリで地域別のコンテンツを個別に販売する、といったことができるようになる。日本のケータイアプリなどで一般的な、月額課金モデルでの販売にも利用できる。

アプリ内で課金できるというのは相当大きいですね。日本のケータイサービスも最近1ショットのケータイ払いができてから、月額課金からアイテム課金にかなりシフトしてきていますが（ex: GREE、電子書籍系）、iPhoneでは月額課金をすっとばして、アイテム課金が来そう。おもしろいことになりそうですねー。

P.S.しかし、iPhoneを持っていれば、iPhone 3.0にするのは無償OSアップデートでOK、というのは、（知ってはいましたが）やはりかなり画期的ですね。
