MacのSpotlight停止

Mac使ってない方は読み飛ばしてください。

Mac上でファイルを検索してくれるSpotlightはじめは便利だなと思っていたのですが、最近はよく使うアプリはDockから起動するし、ファイルは整理されているので検索する必要なしという状態だったのですよね。Spotlightは索引を作るのに常にバックグラウンドでCPUを必要とするし、容量も食うので、停止させてみました。

やり方は"ターミナル.app"で以下を打ち込めばOKです。.Spotlight-V100は索引そのものなので、これを消す（＝3行目を実施する）と、再度使いたい時には再構築に時間がかかるらしいのでご注意。

やっても何も変わりませんが、確実に実行されたかは、再起動して右上のSpotlightマークが消えてるかで判断できると思います。

sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.Spotlight.plist＜リターン＞
sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.metadata.mds.plist＜リターン＞
sudo rm -rf /.Spotlight-V100＜リターン＞

個人的には、正直あまり変わった感じがしないのですが、、どうなんでしょうね。
