ドコモのAndroidケータイHT-03A雑感

HT-03Aというのは今日発売されたGoogleのモバイルOS「Android」が搭載された日本初の携帯電話端末ですね。キャリアはドコモ。もちろん、iモードは使えません。

昨日開かれたブロガー向けイベントに行ってきましたので、雑感を。

＜雑感＞
・iPhoneを持っているのでどうしても比べてしまって「これ、できないのかー」と思ってしまいますが、慣れればどうってことないレベルかも。
・改善して欲しいところは結構あるのですが、iPhoneは何年も実績があるわけでAndroidもどんどん改善されていくでしょう。
・端末の質感とかデザインとかは悪くない感じ。
・検索ボックスがトップにあってさくっと検索できるのは純粋にいいなと思いました。
・普通に使いやすいし、世界マーケットでは将来的にiPhone以上のシェアを取れる可能性も無きにしもあらずで、ビジネス的にはウォッチしていきたい。
・基本的にGoogleアカウントと紐付けるので、全データをGoogle先生に委ねることになるのが結構不安。理由も言わずにアカウント停止とかされる可能性が捨てきれないので。Googleはその辺りの管理は通信事業者的な立場として会社分割とかしたらどうだろうか。
・iPhoneはPC/Macがないと使えませんが、Android端末はそれ自体で完結します。そういう意味で本当に小さいPC。そう考えるとiPhoneのアーキテクチャというのは古いのかも、とも思いました。
・Googleの方が（本社からも）いっぱい来てて、心意気を感じました。

＜総括＞
やはりiモード（ケータイネット）使えないのは結構つらいですね。日本のケータイサイトって長年の工夫によってケータイに最適に作られているので、情報も見やすいし、表示もサクサク。メールも片手でばしばし押せるボタン式が楽（これはソフト改良でなんとかなるかもしれませんが）。

最近iPhoneでMMS（いわゆるケータイメール）ができるようになったのは、かなり画期的だと思うのですが、友達とは（PCメール使うことはかなり稀で）みんなdocomo.ne.jpのアドレスでやりとりしてるので、乗り換えるまで至ってません。

iPhoneはケータイだと有料だったり見れなかったりする情報を見るときは使いますが、普段から使うにはPCサイトは重過ぎます。iPhoneに最適化されたサイトが増えてきたら違うと思いますが、日本ではiPhoneがマイノリティだし今後もそうありつづけると予想されるので、サービス事業者がiPhone版を作るというモチベーションがわきづらい（世界対応したいなら別）。

もちろんiPhoneってそれだけじゃなくて、ゲームやったり、食べログみたいによくできたアプリは結構使います。でも大抵の場合はケータイの方が速いし、楽なんですよね。

恐らく海外ではケータイがないので、iPhoneやAndroid端末はiモードが始まったときのように徐々に対応サービスも増えていき、勢いを増しながら普及していくと思います。これはビジネス的には非常にチャンスだと思います。

一方で日本では、ケータイがあるので普通の人が乗り換えるモチベーションはほぼなくって、ケータイをあまり使わない（PCをよく使う）人や2台持ちの人は、iPhoneやAndroid端末を買うかもしれませんが、少数派なのかなと。

だいぶ話がiPhoneと共に脱線してますが、HT-03Aは世界的な広がり感を感じてすごくおもしろいし、これからもウォッチしていきたいとは思うのですけど、個人的には買う、というところまではいかないというところでしょうか。でも想像以上によくできているので、iPhoneみたいなのが欲しいけど、iPhone（またはApple）はあまり好きじゃない、という方にはおすすめできると思います。
