★★★★☆ [90点]「評判に違わぬ名作」

バットマンの新作。評判が非常によく、全米で4週連続一位で、興行収入が過去歴代3位（タイタニックを超えるかもとの噂）につけるなど絶好調。ジョーカー役のヒース・レジャー（ブロークバック・マウンテンなど）が出演後急死したのも話題を集めています。

どれだけすごいのかと様子見だったのですが、結論から言えば、これ本当に名作でした。

何がすごいって、文句なしにヒース・レジャーの悪役ジョーカー。本当に演技かと思えるほどのサイコっぷりで、自由をうばってナイフを突きつけてから、なんだかよく分からない理屈でしゃべり続けるのが恐怖。何度も何度もそういうシーンが出てきて、究極の選択を迫り続けるジョーカー。その間緊迫したキーンという音楽が流れていて、もう手にあせ握りっぱなし。

2時間32分と長尺なのですが、長いとはまったく思わせないで、まず冒頭の容赦のない銀行強盗シーンから始まって、えっそうなるの？　の連続で、クライマックスまで一気に駆け抜ける感じ。ところどころのアクションシーンもよくできてるし、勧善懲悪でないので誰が何するか分からないのが、またストーリーを非常に濃くしています。

その他、細かい部分までものすごく作り込んであって、とにかく緻密かつスケールのでかい作品に出会ったなぁという感じがします。ぜひ劇場で観ることをおすすめしますが、「バットマン ビギンズ」を観てからの方がよいかもしれません。後、お子さんには観せない方がいいかも。
