MacBook AirにParallels Desktopをインストールする

前回Parallels Desktopがうまく動かないというエントリを書きました。僕のWindowsの使用用途というのは、

・法人銀行口座がなぜかWindowsしか対応してない（キーみたいのが必要）
・Mac移行の前のメールデータを検索する（がんばれば移行できるのですが、そこまですることもないかなと）
・MS Office文書とかを「きちんと」見たり、整形したいとき（普段はOffice Macです）

という感じになっていて、正直ほとんど使わないのですが、それでもないとやや困るので、なんとかしてMacBook Airにもインストールすることを試みます。

まず、ParallelsのWindowsデータは、ユーザホーム/書類/parallels/winxp/winxp.hdd というどでかいファイル（僕の場合は8G近く）になっているようなので、Parallels Desktop 3.0でもこのファイルを読み込むようにすれば、恐らく使えるであろうと推測します。

そこで、Parallels本社ホームページからFree Trial版をダウンロードして、インストール。Parallels Desktopを立ち上げて、トライアルキーを取得＆入力し、コピーしておいたwinxp.hddと同じフォルダに存在するwinxp.pvsを指定すると普通に起動できました。

ただ、このままではMac側のファイルをWindowsで使ったりできないので、ParallelsのメニューにあるParallels Toolsをインストールします。しかし、インストールしようとすると、CD/DVDドライブが必要ですよ、みたいなことを言われて、Airにはドライブないんですが？　という状態に。

仕方がないので、Windowsを終了させて、画面に表示されているConfigurationでCD/DVD-ROMをクリックします。すると、オプションが設定できるので、Enabledをチェックして、Use CD/DVD-ROMを指定しようとするとどうしても指定できません。しかし、Attachment Optionsで、IDE 0:1とかを指定すると指定できるようになるようです（この辺原理よく分かっていません。。）。

それで立ち上げると、Prallels Toolsが普通にインストールできます。これで、Windows側から書類フォルダなどへアクセスできるようになりました。めでたし。ついでに、3.0からの新機能でMac側からもWindowsのHDDが読めるようになりました。

しばらく使ってみましたが、以前はたまに突然落ちたりやや不安定だったのですが、3.0は安定していて、よい感じです。後は、14日以内にお金を払わないといけないですね。日本語版もってるんですが、英語版もアップグレード版の購入では済まないんでしょうか。。

P.S.当初Parallels日本語版の体験版でやろうと思ったのですが、ちょうどダウンしてたので。。今見たらなんと復旧しているようです。まぁでも本家の方が安いし、機能開発が先行するようなのでいいかなという感じ。
