形にすることのアドバンテージ

前にもちょっと書きましたが、最近、ウノウではエンジニア採用を進めていて、すでに1名は内定し、さらに継続して進めていくつもりです。

驚いたのが、今回も自社ウェブと今回もFind Job!で募集してますが、かなり応募数が多くなっています。過去の経験からすると、結構厳しい条件にしている前提で、2週間で5,6通が通常のところ、今回は10日ほどで50通を超えています。

恐らくかなり不況突入が影響しているように思います（もちろんFind Job!さんの努力も素晴らしいと思います！）。人材が流動的になっていて、不況時には人材確保がしやすいというのを実感します。こういうチャンスを逃さないようにしたいと思っています。

それはまぁよいのですが、応募書類を見ていて思うのは、「形にすること」の重要さです。求人情報にも、

ブログや個人運営されているサイト、執筆歴、オープンソース・ソフトウェアへの貢献などの経験は最重要視いたしますので、できる限り自己アピールしてください。

と書いてありますが、書いてくる人は非常に少ないです。もちろん職務経歴書である程度の能力を推し量ることはできますし、書いてない場合に無条件で漏れるわけでもありませんが、逆に言えば、上記が一つでもある方はかなりのアドバンテージがあるということになると思います。

特に、ブログなどは恥ずかしさもあってか書かないことが多いように思いますが、採用担当者からすると、ブログは非常に参考になります。

まず少なくともブログを書いているというだけで、その人個人がアウトプットする能力はあることが分かります。職務経歴書だと複数人プロジェクトだと、その人の能力がなかったとしても完了することは可能ですし、個人プロジェクトだとやっつけでも終わらせることができるかもしれませんが、両方とも職務経歴にはなります。

ウノウのような小さいベンチャーの場合、そのようなビックマウスな人が交じるのは致命的になるので、できる限りそういった事態は避けたく、たとえコードが一行もなくてもブログは（ないに比べて）かなりのアドバンテージになります。

ちょっとブログに寄りましたけれども、ブログでなくても何でもよいので何か形があるならばどんな些細なことでも重大なアドバンテージになるので、応募時に添付していた方がよいと思います。もちろんその前にアウトプットがないと出せないわけですが。
